HELP WITH BABY ITEMS for my little girl?

I am making a nursery for my baby girl. AndI would like to know some trustworthy and good brands for the following baby items

Crib
Change table
Garbage
Diaper genie
Rocking chair
Drawer
Bookshelf
Hamper
Closet
Toy chest

If could be great to know what you experienced with it and how useful these are. And maybe some products 2 stay away from.

Get the DIAPER CHAMP instead of the diaper genie.. The Diaper Champ uses regular size 14 gal. kitchen trash bags while the diaper genie uses refills... PLUS the diaper genie breaks.. We've had two in the past 4 yrs. !

You can probably get a glider rocker and ottaman from CRAIGSLIST or FREECYCLE.ORG pretty cheap or free. I have one that's in the nursery NOT being used.

A Hamper is a hamper don't over think the hamper..

We used a very sturdy heavyweight antique dresser of my husbands as a changing table.. The drawers are nice/deep to hold diapers/clothing and other items.. We just attached the changing pad straps to the back.. Pretty easy and cost effective....

We got a convertible crib- it converts into a toddler bed and then a day type bed... We have two children and have no intention of using the other features besides the "crib" function. My children still will sleep in the crib so why mess with the time/effort of changing the crib to a daybed or toddler bed.. PLUS we got a really nice bunk bed set so there's no need for those features.. So, if you plan on having more than one child this feature may not be necessary... A regular crib would be fine.

Also, some children completely TRASH a good quality crib so it looks shabby by the time it's time to convert into a toddler bed or full size bed or daybed whatever.. So, it's not worth the added expense...

*A friend of ours spent over 2k on their sons baby furniture only to have him trash it in less than 4 yrs. We got some nice hand me down furniture like the dresser and chiffaroe (sp) got it repainted and saved about 1000k.
